Abstract

Ibadah Friendly Hospital (IFH) represents a significant paradigm shift from a secular to a Tauhidic worldview in healthcare. Guided by the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah and Qawaid al-Fiqhiyah, IFH provides a holistic approach to patient care, encompassing physical, psychological, mental, and spiritual aspects. This noble program aligns with Islamic teachings, urging individuals to strive for success in this world and the hereafter, seeking the pleasure of Allah SWT (mardhatillah). By embracing IFH, healthcare practitioners have the opportunity to translate Islam as 'rahmatan lil alamin' and fulfil their duty as DAEI (servants of Allah) in their daily work. Recognizing Islam as a complete way of life, IFH emphasizes that work practices in the medical profession should be considered an expectation of fardhu kifayah (collective obligation). It encourages healthcare workers to view their daily duties as acts of worship (ibadah) and righteous deeds (amal), provided they are performed with the intention of pleasing Allah SWT. Moreover, IFH aims to facilitate Muslim healthcare workers, patients, and relatives in drawing closer to Allah SWT. It serves as an important agenda in life, enabling individuals to fulfil the main objective of their existence: serving the Almighty Allah SWT. Ultimately, IFH strives for excellent caregiving while fostering spiritual growth and fulfilment.
